Talgat Abdulovich Gibadullin

He took up sambo at the age of 14 after he saw sambo wrestling in a public recreation park. He joined the "Dynamo" sambo club to train under the guidance of the coaches, Gennady Netsvetaev and Valentin Afonin. In 1966 he took second place at the RSFSR National Junior Championship, and in 1968 he took second place at the RSFSR National Championship. While participating in the Sports Contest of Sverdlovsk region, in the finals he beat the very Alexander Fedorov by a front leg sweep in 15 seconds. In 1968 he met the classification of the Master of Sports of the USSR in sambo, and in 1974 he got the same title in judo.

He began his coaching career in the late 1960s. Starting in Spartak, he continued coaching in Dynamo to join Lokomotiv in 1978. It was the club where his most famous and titled trainees came from, both masters of sports of international class: Mikhail Starkov, champion and winner of the Russian National Cup, winner of World and European championships, World Cup winner and winner of various international tournaments, as well as Igor Gibadullin, Talgat Abdulovich's nephew, winner of the World Junior Championship and World Cup winner.

His hobbies includes fishing and photography. When he was young, he won a “FED” camera at one of Sabantuy festivals and became interested in photography and has taken part in many photography events. He likes romantic comedy.
