Biography

He started practicing sambo in “Lokomotiv” Club under the guidance of Talgat Gibadullin. He received the title of Candidate Master of Sports of the USSR. In 1985, he returned to his hometown school as a coach.

Together with his former mentor Talgat Gibadullin he trained 25 masters of sports in sambo and judo, as well as two masters of sports of international class in sambo and a master of sports of international class in judo (Igor Gibadullin and Mikhail Starkov).

Currently he is a coach-mentor of the Sambo department of the Sports School № 8 "Lokomotiv" (Yekaterinburg).

He graduated from Sverdlovsk Institute of Railway Transport (now Ural State University of Railway Transport) and Ural State Pedagogical University. He was awarded the badge of honor "Excellence in Physical Culture and Sports" (2000).
