Biography

Mikhail Igorevich Sukhanov was born on August 31, 1984 in Kurgan.
He started doing sports at the age of 7. He played football, basketball, table tennis, and tried himself in gymnastics as well.

At the age of 11, he joined the sambo class of Viktor Yevtodeyev at Dynamo sports club. Mikhail is a multiple winner of Kurgan city championships. He also participated in the All-Russian Tournament as a member of regional team.

In 2003, he fulfilled the standard of Master of Sports in sambo. Since 2003, he has been a member of UMMC Sambo Club. Mikhail became a bronze medalist at the Ural Federal District Championship among Youth and at the Championship of the Asian Part of Russia. Since 2012, he has been working as a coach.

Later, he was promoted to the head coach of the Club.
Nowadays, seven Honored Masters of Sports and almost 20 International Masters of Sports are preparing for very important competitions under his guidance.

Over the past few years, he has been one of the main promoters of the federal projects "Sambo integration into Schools", "Sambo for Students" and "Sambo for GTO" in the Middle Urals. He personally organized more than a dozen seminars and advanced training courses for teachers and coaches on incorporating sambo elements into physical education at schools and universities.

Mikhail Sukhanov is a Judge of the All-Russian Category. He heads the judging panel of the Sverdlovsk Region Sambo Federation. Being an expert and a coach, he is regularly entrusted with organizing and conducting judges seminars in the Sverdlovsk Region and in the Ural Federal District.

Mikhail is a graduate of Shadrinsk State Pedagogical University (2006).
