Biography

He started practicing sambo at the age of 12 in the Children and Youth Sports School of the town of Oktyabrsky (Republic of Bashkortostan) under the guidance of his coach, Alexander Georgievich Potapov. Then he was enrolled at the High School of Sports, where his coach was Robert Gumerovich Zaleev.

In 2000, he moved to the town of Verkhnyaya Pyshma and started playing for UMMC.

He forever inscribed his name in the history of Sverdlovsk sambo, becoming our second world champion after the outstanding Alexander Fedorov. When he won the world title for the second time in 2007, he joined the crew of the selected masters of this marshal art. Galliamov's trump cards have always been a discretion and sober judgement, as well as excellent techniques of mat wrestling. He belongs to those who "harness long but go fast". He didn't prove out himself immediately: as a junior he was a medium level sambist, while over several subsequent years he showed the most mature and stable wrestling.

Over the last few years, he successfully managed the ice complex in Tuimazy (Republic of Bashkortostan), while constantly keeping in touch with his home club.

In 2021, he returned to Verkhnyaya Pyshma, where he was appointed to supervise the construction of the Sambo Palace.
