The Championship of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia
On September 27-29, 2021, the Championship of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia in Sports Sambo for men and women and Combat Sambo for men will take place at the UMMC Sports Palace in Verkhnyaya Pyshma (15, Ordzhonikidze). The competition promises to be more than serious as many of the best sambo wrestlers of the country are actually members of this power structure. It should be noted that the team of the Federal Penitentiary Service made it to the finals of one of the most prestigious competitions of the season this June, the Russian President's Cup, where the best Russian sambo wrestlers represent the teams of various power structures participating in the competition.
For example, Ivan Panyukhin, a silver medalist of the Russian Championship this season, fights for the Sverdlovsk region, while our future participant of the World Championship held in November this year, Uali Kurzhev, defends the honor of the Ryazan Academy of the Federal Penitentiary Service. Both of them are athletes of the UMMC Sambo Club (Verkhnyaya Pyshma).
