World Beach Sambo Championship will take place in 2021 for the very first time. Larnaca (Cyprus) is chosen as a venue for the tournament, which is to be held on August 28-29. The Championship was due to hold back in 2020, but has been postponed due to COVID-19. This year’s attention will be specifically drawn to all anti-Covid measures.

There will be individual and team tournaments. On the first day of the competition, male and female athletes will compete in an individual event in four weight categories:

Men: 58 kg, 71 kg, 88 kg, over 88 kg

Women: 50 kg, 59 kg, 72 kg, over 72 kg

On the second day of the competition, bouts are expected to be intense in every sense of the word in the team tournament. There will be men’s (71 kg, 88 kg, over 88 kg) and women’s (72 kg, over 72 kg) teams.
