Russian Junior Sambo Competition
The Russian Junior (U-24) Sambo Competition will be held in the All-Russian Sambo Academy (Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod region) on January 18-20, 2022 (qualification for the European Sambo Cup), in the following weight categories:
men - 53 kg, 58 kg, 64 kg, 71 kg, 79 kg, 88 kg, 98 kg, +98 kg;
women - 47 kg, 50 kg, 54 kg, 59 kg, 65 kg, 72 kg, 80 kg, +80 kg.
The All-Russian Sambo federation has organized the event. The best sambo athletes will compete to represent the country at the 2022 European Sambo Cup. By estimates, over 300 sambists from 40 Russia’s regions applied for the competition.
Bouts start at 10 am (MSK). Opening ceremony will take place on January 18, at 5 pm.
