Championship of the Ural Federal District among boys and girls of 2006-2008 years of birth
On the 24th – 25th of March, the Championship of the Ural Federal District among boys and girls of 14-16 years old was held in Kurgan. 280 athletes from eight constituents of the Ural Federal District fought not only for medals, but also for the right to participate in the Championship of Russia to be held in Simferopol in September. For that it was necessary to be among the finalists. As a result the sportsmen from the Sverdlovsk region won 30 different awards and secured 14 berths at the Russian Championship.
Besides, the winners of the Championship of the Ural Federal District got the opportunity to take part in the final of the summer Spartakiad of Russia to be held in Armavir at the end of June. Moreover, the boys won the first prizes in the beginning of May will also go to St. Petersburg to participate in the international tournament called “Victory”.
