UMMC sambo wrestlers won 16 medals at all-Russian tournaments

At the beginning of April UMMC sambo wrestlers won 16 medals at the prestigious all-Russian tournaments. The athletes from Verkhnyaya Pyshma took fourteen medals in Kazan, where the traditional all-Russian competition in memory of Nakip Madiyarov, the USSR Master of Sports of International Class, took place in the sports arena « Olimpiets».

Pavel Trapeznikov in category up to 53 kg, Eldar Gadzhiev in category up to 71 kg, Uali Kurzhev in category up to 79 kg, Ali Kurzhev in category up to 88 kg and Gleb Poznakhirko in category over 98 kg became gold medalists in sports sambo. Danir Shamsutdinov in the category up to 58 kg, Vyacheslav Matveev in the category up to 64 kg and Dmitry Torgashov in the category up to 98 kg won silver medals. Egor Smertin in the category up to 64 kg, Vladimir Balykov, Artem Krivykh - both in the category up to 79 kg and Aleksandra Kanatchikova in the category up to 88 kg were given a bronze medal each.

The 46th all-Russian Sambo tournament for "Conquerors of Space" trophy hosted in Moscow at the Wrestling Palace named after I. Yarygin. This is the earliest Moscow sambo competition. This year the competition was devoted to the 80th anniversary of National Research Nuclear University MEPhI. Aleksey Klukin was the second in 58 kg category, and Ivan Panyukhin got a bronze medal.
