Sambo wrestlers from Sverdlovsk region took over one hundred prizes at high level competitions in 2022

Today, Leonid Aronovich Rapoport, Minister of Physical Education and Sports of Sverdlovsk region, has had a tea-meeting with representatives of Sambo Federation of Sverdlovsk region - President of the Federation Shukhrat Khamraevich Makhmudov and Executive Director Leonid Vasilievich Putintsev, as well as with the coaching staff: Valery Glebovich Stennikov, Oleg Borisovich Borodin and Andrey Borisovich Korostelev
Today, Leonid Aronovich Rapoport, Minister of Physical Education and Sports of Sverdlovsk region, has had a tea-meeting with representatives of Sambo Federation of Sverdlovsk region - President of the Federation Shukhrat Khamraevich Makhmudov and Executive Director Leonid Vasilievich Putintsev, as well as with the coaching staff: Valery Glebovich Stennikov, Oleg Borisovich Borodin and Andrey Borisovich Korostelev.
The following athletes attended the meeting: Stanislav Skryabin, Olesya Posylkina, Daria Rechkalova and Ekaterina Khasanova, winners and medallists of the 2022 World Sambo Championship held in Bishkek.
The Minister highly praised the performance of Sverdlovsk region sambo team that had taken a total of 105 medals at international and national competitions and championships. He also noted that the success of our team proved the high level of sambo development in the Sverdlovsk region. He congratulated the athletes and coaches on winning the World Championship.
They also discussed sport events of the coming year and preparation for them: Russian Sambo Championship is held from February 13 to 17, 2023 in Verkhnyaya Pyshma, and Russian Championship from February 27 to March 03 in Perm.
The minister checked the athletes' current condition and discussed the training process with the coaching staff. In an informal setting he asked the athletes about their favorite fighting techniques. Olesya Posylkina told about a complicated bout with an experienced sambist from Romania at the World Championship; Daria Rechkalova shared her impressions of a fight with a Belarusian athlete.
At the end of the meeting, the Minister presented Shukhrat Makhmudov with the Certificate of State Accreditation, which confirmed that Sambo Federation of Sverdlovsk region had the status of regional sports organization, as well as the Yearbook of the Ministry of Sports of the Sverdlovsk region for 2021 with the confidence that athletes and the Sambo Federation will be published on its pages in 2022.
